Neemli- Hyaluronic & Vitamin C Serum

Views about the product

While taking my daily dose of internet I heard a lot of skincare ‘gurus’ talk about Vitamin-C serums and how it worked wonders on their skin. So, about a year ago I googled Vitamin-c serum available in India and “Neemli” was one of the brands that popped up. Now, I have had used Neemli’s body and face scrub and loved it so I decided to go for the serum from them although the price of the product was a bit heavy on my pocket. It has been almost a year that I have been using their product constantly and needless to say I love it. I always, always keep backups of the product and keep my eyes open for discounts and offers; which they have a plenty of.
It is a very versatile product as I’ve paired it with multiple toners and moisturisers and it blends with every product seamlessly.

Best way to apply

The serum has a light gel texture and is fast absorbing to the skin. I would suggest to apply it on a slightly damp skin, maybe after you have applied your toner or essence, let it dry for a while and then go for the serum. For products containing hyaluronic serum it is suggested to apply on damp skin as it helps to retain the moisture of the skin. If you are from a place that has dry air it is suggested that you keep spritzing your face with face sprays or toners to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day. Follow it up with a moisturiser your choice. Personally, I use it twice a day on clean face after applying toner.

Ingredients

Purified water, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerine, Aloevera (Aloe Vera Barbadenis) Extract, Witch Hazel (Hamamelis Virginiana) Extract, Niacinamide, Methylsulfonylmethane, Benzyl Alcohol, Green Tea (Camellia sinesis) Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Xantham Gum, Di Sodium EDTA, L-Arginine, Lemon (Citrus media limonum) oil, Geranium (Pelargonium Graveolens) Oil, Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) Oil

Star ingredients of the serum

Vitamin C that’s in the form of ‘3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid’ which has higher stability as an element.
It protects the skin from UVB damages and helps to reduce the appearance of dark spots, it helps to enhance collagen production that is already present in your skin. Neemli has 12% vitamin-c in their serum. Usually vitamin-c is a very unstable component hence it is suggested to keep out of light and dark coloured bottles are used to store it.

Hyaluronic Acid in the form of ‘Sodium Hyaluronate’ helps to retain moisture in the skin and also attracts moisture from the surrounding environment to make your skin plump looking. Sodium Hyaluronate penetrates the skin better because of its molecular structure.

Niacinamide also known as vitamin B3 helps to strength skin barrier and improves the overall skin texture. It is an unsung hero ingredient in my humble opinion.

Final Views

Well to be honest it does what it claims; gives the skin a plump look and keeps it hydrated. You would see results with regular use over a couple months. Do not expect to see results after a week. Vitamin-c in any product is good for lightening blemishes and hyperpigmentations (for me it is after acne scars).

The price might be steep for some people but if you are willing to shell that much you wouldn’t be disappointed at all. As I already mentioned that I am obsessed with it and always have backups.
